As an extension of the post-war work initiatives in the Cornouailles region of Brittany, and bolstered by the Industrial Revolution, hosiery business Le Minor in Guidel (Morbihan) began to manufacture limited lines of kabigs in both red and dark blue. The workshops are still in business today. Meanwhile, in the pays Pagan, tailors and seamstresses made kabigs for local use, using cloth bought from brands such as Sainte Augustine in Brest, Landerneau and Landivisiau, Corfat in Brignogan and Péron in Landerneau. People still remember Mme Le Guen, also known as Bonich an nich, Thérèse Huguen in Plouguerneau, the Léon Laurent shop, Monsieur Manant, Saïk Labous, the last in a long line of tailors in Kerlouan, and Framic, also known as Monsieur Lossouarn in Plounéour-Trez.
